1 – DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES



Alia Yachting Ltd., it is mainly active in all the yacht bases in Greece, while at the same time serves its charterers from 30 different yacht bases in various counties in the world, like:
Belgium | British Virgin Islands | Caribbean | Croatia all bases | Cuba | Martinique | France all bases | French Polynesia | Germany | Greece all bases
Italy: Capo d'Orlando, Sardinia, Agropoli, Punta Ala, Rodi Garganico

Charters usually commence on Saturday at 17:00 hours and end on Saturday at 09:00 hours (Friday up to 17:30 return to marina and overnight). Other days of the week may be possible upon request.


General terms

All charters begin at 17:00 of the start-date and finish at 09:00 of the end-date of the charter period, exclusively at the designated ports. The chartered yacht must have returned to its end-port by 17:00 pm of the day preceding its end-date, at the latest.


Charter requirements

For bare boat charters, mandate at least one sailing license or certification for bareboat charters. Generally, ASA and RYA Certifications are accepted, but there might be instances where Day Skipper certificates (or those with limitations on nautical miles) could be declined by Port Authorities. To ensure a smooth process, please reach out to us. We will assess your license and inform you if you meet the requirements to proceed!


Charter price

Charter fees include:

The right to use the designated boat type along with its inventory All taxes & VAT Port fees for the day of embarkation and disembarkation (port of call). 24 hour emergency service by base managers in all the yacht bases.


Charter fees do not include:

Any costs incurred during the sailing trip such as water and fuel consumption, provisions, port fees. Optional extras (upon request) such as local skipper, hostess, SUP, outboard etc. End Cleaning (obligatory and payable in cash upon embarkation) includes yacht’s cleaning and bed linen, blankets, pillows, pillow cases and towels, cooking gas plus spare bottle. All extras are payable in cash at base upon arrival.


Terms of payment

In order the charter-party to be valid, an advance payment equal to 50% of its total value has to be made to Alia Yachting ltd., upon its signing. The remaining 50% will be payable 45 days before the start-date of the charter period, at the latest. It is noted that, in case a Charter Contract is signed regarding a charter period starting within the following 45 days, it must be paid in full upon its signing.


Before embarking on the boat, the client will provide with a refundable deposit – in cash or credit card Visa/Master – intended to cover the cost for any loss or damage to the boat while on charter. The deposit is returned in full at the end of the charter period in case there is no damage or loss. Otherwise, the relevant cost is deducted from the deposit and the client will receive the balance.


Charter booking procedure:

Upon deciding to book a charter proposed by Alia Yachting Ltd., the client should formally request an option of booking for the specific boat, ports and dates of interest, which can only be offered for a few days. It is during this short period of time that the client will have to book the charter and settle the advance payment.


A charter booking will not be considered valid and final, unless the client has sent to Alia Yachting Ltd., proof of payment of the advance payment mentioned earlier (50% of the total value of the Charter Contract).


Documents

Also, the client has returned to Alia Yachting Ltd., signed copy of the charter-party he/she will have previously received electronically (via email) and The Charter Contract will finally be considered valid upon payment of the remaining 50% of its total value, 45 days before the beginning of the charter period, at the latest.

  • Upon receipt of Booking Confirmation, we will issue Charter Contract and send you the Invoice accordingly.
  • In bareboat charters at least one sailing license must be sent to us along with the booking confirmation.
  • The license must be in English language or translated and suitable for specific yacht.
  • The Croatian skipper sailing license Category B, Day skipper license is not accepted by Greek authorities (because of Adriatic Sea only limitations).
  • If clients hold a RYA Day Skipper, they need to apply for an ICC certificate.
  • The IYT - International Bareboat Skipper is not accepted by Greek authorities (because of daylight sailing limitations).
  • The skipper is obliged to always keep on board an updated authorized crew list.
  • When skipper or hostess is required, it is compulsory to have their own cabin.
  • Refundable Guarantee Deposit is payable via credit card or Visa on the spot upon embarkation. Guarantee Deposit is also required, even if a skipper is hired at extra cost.
  • Claims are negotiable at the end of the charter provided that the client contacts the base to mention the any problem during his charter. Otherwise, no claim will be accepted.
  • Transfers, Food provisioning from super market, Beach towels, Water toys, Wi-Fi, also be arranged upon request. The above can be reserved by client in advance, for all our bases and required to be paid upon embarkation in cash. If paid by credit cards, then surcharge of 0,9%-3,0% (depending on the bank) will be required.
